Bill Holden joined HumRRO in 1996 after 26 years as a training developer and instructor for the Army. Currently, he is a member of a team developing prototype training concepts for units, leaders, and staffs in the Future Combat Systems-equipped Brigade Combat Team. Recently, he co-authored the Mounted Brigade Combat Team Mission Training Plan (ARTEP-71-3-MTP), and a doctrinal field manual for the Tank and Cavalry Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) and Headquarters and Headquarters Troop (HHT) (FM 3-20.90). He was a member of a team developing prototype staff training and assessment methods for future land combat units equipped with advanced digital command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (DC4I) systems. He was the project leader for the Structured Training for Units in the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (STRUCCTT) follow-on project which created structured training exercises, training materials, and TSPs for Cavalry Troop and Battalion Task Force level training exercises, and a series of structured M1A2 tank platoon CCTT exercises that exploited the capabilities of on-board digital command and control systems of the M1A2 tank. While in the Army, Mr. Holden served as an instructor and manager for basic soldier and unit skills training, officer development, and simulation-supported training to senior Army leaders selected for high command positions. His extensive experience includes serving as a university department head and professor, developer of the course architecture for officer training, and chief for a team delivering new operational concepts to field activities.
