- Biography/Blurb

Dr. Rodney A. McCloy has conducted and directed personnel research for more than 15 years. He received his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology, with specialization in psychometrics and statistics, from the University of Minnesota and is well versed in several multivariate analytical techniques (e.g., covariance structure analysis, structural equation modeling, event history analysis, hierarchical linear modeling). He has applied these techniques to numerous research questions, especially those involving personnel selection and classification, job performance measurement and modeling, and attrition/turnover. His experience with assessment and testing spans both cognitive and noncognitive domains, and he has provided technical expertise to several large-scale assessment programs, including the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB), the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB). His recent research efforts center on developing new methods of noncognitive assessment, determining the effects of the renorming of the ASVAB (the enlistment test used by the Department of Defense), and modeling attrition/retention. He also directs HumRRO's Internal Research and Development program and has served as an adjunct faculty member of the psychology department at George Mason University.
