Biography/Blurb

Richard Deatz has been with HumRRO since 1996. He has an M.Ed. in Occupational Training and Development and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development, emphasis in evaluation. He has 20 years experience in management, training and development, and training research. This includes instructional design and development for classroom and simulation training environments, coordination of multi-media training product development, training facilitation, individual and focus group interviewing, qualitative data collection and analysis, as well as survey development. In addition to training-based work, Mr. Deatz has been part of a variety of K-12 education-based projects on national and state levels that involved observation of testing and scoring for quality assurance, evaluation of on-line state accountability tests, observation of K-12 classroom instruction, and development of a content standard and test alignment method. He also has worked in the manufacturing and banking industries, developing training for a major appliance manufacturer and managed the financial crimes investigations department for 9 years with a major bank.
