Biography/Blurb

Mike Polgreen is a software engineer/developer in HumRRO’s Technology Solutions Group. He currently designs, develops and manages PHP, .Net, and Flash software systems and projects for HumRRO clients. He has been active for over twenty years in all aspects of the software development life-cycle including experience as a project manager and technical leader.  He is experienced in the successful completion of large-scale, complex projects, budgeting, quality assurance, and innovation including work with many government clients.

He has expertise in the use of Visual Studio, Microsoft ASP.Net, C#, C++, VB, PHP, IBM Websphere, Java, Zend (Studio and Framework), Drupal and Flash among many others. Database platforms used include MS-SQL Server, MySQL, DB2, Mongo-DB, and IDMS. In addition, he is currently using XML, XSLT, JavaScript, JQuery, SCORM, HTML5 and Section 508-compliance. His graphics expertise includes CSS, PhotoShop, Fireworks, Flash, Flex and MS Publisher. His platform experience includes Windows, Java & J2EE, Windows IIS, IBM MVS, Unix/Linux/LAMP, plus mobile computing operating systems such as iOS and Android.

In addition to his work with HumRRO, Mr. Polgreen is an active member in both Microsoft .Net and PHP user groups in the Washington, D.C. area. He is a mentor for students studying software development at a local area college and is always searching out new challenges to energize himself in the arena of providing business and government software solutions.
