Don Forrest joined HumRRO in 1996. He is currently working on developments of training support packages in support of Future Combat System (FCS) training events. These TSPs utilize Objective Force OneSAF (OF OOS) and CCTT to support structured training exercises for company- and platoon-level units. He has also developed TSPs using OneSAF Test Bed (OTB) to support FCS Experiment 1.1. Additionally, he has conducted task analysis and development of collective and leader/battle staff tasks for units and leaders of the FCS-equipped Combined Arms Battalion (CAB). From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Forrest spent over two years on active duty as a Major in the United States Army supporting the Global War on Terrorism. Prior to his mobilization, he worked on development and revision of the field manual (FM) and mission training plan (MTP) for the Reconnaissance Platoon of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) and the MTP for the Mounted Brigade Combat Team (MBCT). He contributed to work on the Commander's Integrated Training Tool-2 project, focusing on addressing the use of the Force XXI Battle Command – Brigade and Below (FBCB2) system in structured training using CCTT. Prior to CITT, Mr. Forrest worked on the Structured Training for Units in the Close Combat Tactical Trainer projects (STRUCCTT 1 and 2). He was the primary author of a set of structured training exercises for heavy cavalry troops and scout platoon, and also participated in training design and development of exercises for armor and mechanized infantry platoons.
